Getting the Word Out

by amcdocumentary on October 24, 2008

I am experimenting with different ways to promote the documentary and find new AMCers. I twitter (or will be), I IM, I got LinkedIn, found myself on Facebook and now my new favorite toy? Wordle. If you have ever seen images of a group of words thrown together in a graphical format, you have seen the work of Wordle.

Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes.

You can enter your own text or provide a link to your blog, feed or webpage. It took about 3 minutes to create the image below. Geeky I know but I think I could have fun for hours playing with this one. Plus the word groupings actually have given me some new ideas for content. How’s that for multi-tasking? Mine is below.
